One of my students was honored at the 911 Heroes Ceremony at the Capital Building this morning. He was presented a certificate on the Senate Floor and received a medal from the CHP during a press conference on the Capital steps for a call he made to save a life. A few seconds of the 911 recording was played aloud, and I was very impressed with how calm and informative he was while speaking with the dispatcher. The dispatcher was also presented an award.
