Alan, Maveric, and Teni continued their obsession with stem and leaf plots to analyze NBA statistics. They identified Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as scoring the highest average number of points per game. Not bad for a player who only made one three-pointer in his career!
This week I gave a lesson on the ancient city of Uruk, considered to be the first true city in the world. (It was located in the southern region of Sumer — modern day Warka, Iraq). A small group of children are now recreating the city with leftover lumber and cardboard.
We are continuing to explore macro-nutrients by creating delicious breakfast food that is very easy to prepare. This week’s menu included a berry smoothie with greens and egg cups made with bacon, onion, and red peppers. Claire made chips from the left-over kale.
