A Glimpse Into the Oak Room … 3-12-19

Alan, Maveric, and Teni continued their obsession with stem and leaf plots to analyze NBA statistics. They identified Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as scoring the highest average number of points per game. Not bad for a player who only made one three-pointer in his career!

This week I gave a lesson on the ancient city of Uruk, considered to be the first true city in the world. (It was located in the southern region of Sumer — modern day Warka, Iraq). A small group of children are now recreating the city with leftover lumber and cardboard.

We are continuing to explore macro-nutrients by creating delicious breakfast food that is very easy to prepare. This week’s menu included a berry smoothie with greens and egg cups made with bacon, onion, and red peppers. Claire made chips from the left-over kale.

We have uploaded the first batch of older ELP pics to Dropbox. Visit this link to to see and download the photos. They will be available until March 25th. Look for the next batch soon!

Crazy Sock Day is Friday, March 15th!
