The Eucalyptus Room students had their first collaborative philanthropic project with another Montessori school!
An Elementary class at Cleveland Montessori collected toiletry items and socks to distribute to women and children at a local shelter. Our students have been working toward using positive and supportive messages when speaking with one another and partnering with Anna’s class was a perfect opportunity to practice affirmative communication.
The Eucalyptus Room students wrote and illustrated the sweetest notes to be distributed with the Cleveland Montessori care packages. You can see their messages in the photographs. Hopefully you’ll also see the empathy and love the students displayed while composing their messages.
Dr. Montessori believed that we should display gratitude and compassion for people, including those that we’ve never met, and this concept is an important component of many of our Cosmic Education lessons. Enjoy the photographs!
