A glimpse into the classroom last week…
The children enjoyed creating Valentine’s Day cards for the staff and residents of St. John’s Village in Woodland.
The lunar eclipse generated quite a bit of independent research on constellations and the solar system. Several children presented their research to the Eucalyptus and Oak Room.
Two children made homemade butter and drop biscuits from scratch for their classmates and the staff as the culmination of their research on where bread comes from and the variety of breads throughout the world.
Geography paper maps, independent creative writing inspired by a variety of writing lessons, follow-up work on lessons about the Composition of the Earth and the second Timeline of Humans, Zoology work on Parts of a Bee, and Racks and Tubes are just some examples of the children’s work choices.
