The best thing about the school is the teachers and staff and how much they clearly love the students and are dedicated to Montessori methodology. Many teachers, assistants, and the director have been there 15, 25, 30 years. Unfortunately, the school was recently purchased by Endeavor, is a private equity (PE) backed company that is buying up schools across the country. If you know PE, you know that it’s basically a death sentence to every business in every industry it touches. It has absolutely no place in schools. Endeavor is focused on creating good optics and making money, and trying to have an authentic interaction with them is frustrating and goes nowhere. They screen questions at school meetings and keep parents as disconnected as possible from each other in the process. Basically, they’re anti-transparency. As long as Endeavor doesn’t get rid of any teachers or staff, I will keep my kids here despite not agreeing with many of their management decisions. If they do cut staff, word will spread and the legacy of this wonderful school will be tarnished.

What we value most about MCD is the warm and welcoming staff, in addition to the knowledge able teachers who make student safety and learning a priority. The veteran staff make it evident that the halls and classrooms are filled with love and care as they support student success.
