What do garden bugs, simple circuits, and the Iron Age have in common? The answer is that research on ladybugs and grubs from the garden, creating a variety of simple circuits from our new classroom kits, and a renewed interest in the history materials were popular work choices.
We had several visitors in our classroom last week. My mom and dad visited during an afternoon work period. The children were welcoming and excited to show them their research projects and yarn balls. A group of children even picked a bag full of oranges for my parents to take home. Freja and Finn Howard visited during lunch and recess, and it was sweet to observe their reunion with friends.
