A Glimpse Into the Eucalyptus Room… 3-12-19

What do garden bugs, simple circuits, and the Iron Age have in common? The answer is that research on ladybugs and grubs from the garden, creating a variety of simple circuits from our new classroom kits, and a renewed interest in the history materials were popular work choices.

We had several visitors in our classroom last week. My mom and dad visited during an afternoon work period. The children were welcoming and excited to show them their research projects and yarn balls. A group of children even picked a bag full of oranges for my parents to take home. Freja and Finn Howard visited during lunch and recess, and it was sweet to observe their reunion with friends.

Permission slips for the Conaway Ranch field trip are due on Friday, March 15th. Please let me know if you are interested in chaperoning. We do not have a limit on how many adults can join us. The field trip is on Thursday, April 4th from 8:30 to 1:00.

Please join us on Friday, March 22nd, for our Class Social after school. This is an opportunity for you to visit the classroom and have your child share his/her favorite lessons or materials. The Social is from 3:15 to 4:15.
