Photos from WOLF Camp 2018

Thanks to Gail, our Head of School, and Mark and Meida, parent chaperones, for all the photos!

Here is a summary of the week from Wendy:

“It seems a terrific time was had by all. It rained and was pretty cold but everyone persevered and there wasn’t much in the way of complaining (other than from me maybe!). Our chaperones were terrific: Gail sang good morning songs, Albert did the best campfire skit dance ever, Joanna was calm and supportive, Mark knew a lot about things along the trails, and Dave allowed caterpillar races in his cabin.

And, of course, thank you as well to Jeannie and Melissa who added seats to the carpool and kept everyone safe while driving us there and back.

Melissa recorded the following answers in response to the question, “What did you like most about WOLF Camp?”

Shooting star
Banana slug song
Writing letters to self of the future
Scorpions
Croaking frogs at the pond
Campfire
Hike
Skit
Chaperone skit
Constant positive energy
Solo hike
Air hockey
Food
Hiking
Swimming story
Miss all the naturalists

The naturalists took me aside on two different occasions to let me know how well-behaved our class was and one remarked on their great science knowledge. They also commented on how well the adults cared for the emotional needs of the children. In other words, any effort made on your part to raise independent, resilient, capable children is paying off and we are surrounded by terrific people in our community! Well done!”
